This is my #1 record of 2005 (so far). Drew Daniels (one gay half of very gay Matmos, a San Francisco electronic act) has put together a very sleazy and very catchy disco/electro collection of British punk and American hardcore covers. I saw him perform (with Kevin Blechdom) at Sónar and it was one of the freakiest things I've ever seen. This is a cover of Nervous Gender who emerged out of California punk culture.
