And so I end this compilation on a very American note. This band has to be experienced live. So wonderfully absurd! They are an über-parody of American bohemian culture of the past forty years, of the religious revival, of Up With People, of 4-H, of global conscience, of civic duty, of brotherly love. It's impossible not to be swept up--at least momentarily--by their freakish joy.
